Curing the blues started with a run in Leadville Saturday with my running buddy Kevin (who just finished his first Hardrock). We ran the race course from Twin Lakes and did the double Hope Pass crossing. It was a gorgeous day!
Today capped it all off with an amazing adventure! I ran and hiked two fourteeners--Grays Peak (14,270 feet) and Torreys Peak (14,267).It was the most beautiful day! I felt like I was running in a postcard! I am getting my trail legs back--Leadville, here I come!

I predict the good vibes continue and you rock Leadville 2 hours faster than last year! I'll change that prediction to 1.5 hours if you decide to wear Sean's Richard Simmons wig during the race though...all that wind resistance from the red curls has to slow you down a bit...
Just when I thought we'd have to wait a while for your next race, you pull Leadville out of the bag! How FUN! I guess I should have known....can't wait to hear about the training.

Awesome photos and some awesome running/hiking to get there and take those photos. Someone said once if I ever travel to the US for a 100 miler I should consider Leadville. We'll see...
Are you doing donkey/mule race as well for Leadville? Those were memorable pix and video from last years.
